Please note that there are NEW procedures for club chartering!
All student clubs/publications must be registered with the Office of Student Activities (OSA) in order to charter. The OSA office is located in room C001 on the C level of Hunter North.
1. Complete club orientation (all club officers are required to complete orientation and pass the orientation quiz). View the presentation and take the quiz here.
Each organization is required to have a full executive board consisting of a president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer. Graduate club officers must be matriculated students with at least a 3.0 GPA and be registered for at least 3 credits. All officers must be elected each year by the club membership in accordance with your constitution.
Please keep a record of the election meeting minutes. Election meeting minutes is a form available as an editable pdf document. Open or download the pdf, type in the minutes and save. Your election meeting minutes are required when your club registers to charter or reactivate in the fall 2016.
Additionally, you must submit an Attendance Sheet indicating who was present at the election meeting.
3. Submit 3 original Signature Profile Forms to the OSA.
This is an editable pdf document that should be opened, completed, saved, printed out and signed x 3. The information must be typed and signatures in blue or black ink.
4. Complete Everfi Sexual Assault and Alcohol Abuse Training.
All officers must take this training. Instructions on how to register for and take the training can be found here.
When these steps have been completed, you can register your club.The password to register will be e-mailed to the club secretary when all officers have completed and passed the orientation/quiz and the signature profile forms have been submitted and verified.
The following documents are required when you register:
Constitution New organization constitution or amended constitution (if applicable) of returning organizations. Returning clubs generally do not need to re-submit a constitution.
Election Meeting Minutes Submit the election meeting minutes and attendance sheet that you saved in Step 2 above.
Student Club Membership (10 Member Minimum). This is an editable pdf. document that should be opened, completed, saved and uploaded when you register your club.
College Association Workshop: Club President and Treasurer must attend the CA workshop. Call the CA office at to make an appointment to meet with a CA representative.in the C.A. Office (HN 121) for workshop credit. CA phone: (212) 772-4510
Check your club charter/reactivation status with the Office of Student Affairs.
GSA Budget Meeting
After receiving confirmation that your club is eligible to charter by the Office of Student Activities, a budget request may be submitted to the GSA.
Your club budget will NOT be reviewed by the GSA until the president and/or treasurer meet with the GSA.
